Introduction to the Mayan Sign Wind:
The second Day Sign after the Sign Crocodile/Alligator is ‘’Wind’’ (in Yucatan Maya’s cycle). It is associated with ‘’Prana’’, the life source, the breath of spirit going through every living being. This ‘’Divine Breath’’ gives them strength, vitality, and self-confidence. People born on the day of Wind or who have the Wind Sign anywhere in their ‘’Tree of Life’’ carry this life force through their actions, attitudes, and most visibly with communication of all sorts.
Winds can’t help but communicate. They spill out what is on their minds. They are open to the outside and like to socialize, naturally preferring to share what they know. The Maya say that they tend to ‘’take too much’’ from the external, as they end up absorbing all the influences. They naturally inquire and easily discover what sources can be found in people and life. They have a romantic side to them as well and can easily turn these outside influences into romantic ways of viewing life. This can be greatly helpful when they create art, design, or anything involving some sort of aesthetics because they have an artistic mind and soul. Usually, anything they put out into the world carries noticeable signatures of romanticism, lyricism, and refinement albeit being quite cerebral at the same time.
Psychological Qualities of the Mayan Sign Wind:
The “Wind” people have a simplicity that tends to make life simple too. Their light, carefree spiritual core and communicativeness coupled with the ‘’Divine Breath’’ running through their veins produce a need for connection so that they can transmit the things the ‘’Divine Breath’’ informs them about. They can hear ‘’winds’’ of thoughts which are often spiritual in nature, blowing in and out of their mental spaces. Just like the weather phenomenon wind, this Sign is associated with being intangible as the bearers of it carry an unmatched mobile quality. This is a blessing cause as they mature, Wind people become more aware of what is ‘’rotten’’ and go blowing somewhere else to create a new, beautiful ‘’summer breeze’’, with lightness and acceptance.
Wind has a distinct masculine quality leading it to embrace the truth of the moment without fear of moving forward and taking charge. The “Wind” individuals find freedom wherever they are because freedom already comes with themselves being the ‘’wind’’ as the wind is everywhere and accessible under all circumstances. These people don’t need to seek freedom and instead just breathe, have a moment of realization, and move forward in the direction they are informed through their high-level intuition. They can always trust the Spirit whispering through their intuition and they have real skills of telepathy.
On the negative side, as a byproduct of their active mind, sometimes they get caught up in a dark chain of thoughts and get disturbed. They can explode with anger or burst into tears unexpectedly and be very moody from time to time because of their rapidly changing emotions. The cure is found in trusting that the Spirit is working not only through them but also through everything and everyone they encounter. This way, they won’t have to associate themselves so much with their ever-changing moods resulting from their overactive mind reacting to everything. This will make all their relationships safer and much more stable, too.
When they can channel their mental powers without getting scattered, the sky is the limit to what they can accomplish. They care a lot about accomplishments, but they need to stay humble as co-creators because they might feel the need to brag or compete. They are co-creators here, hence never alone, as long as they stay humble and remember their role as pure transmitters.
When feeling stuck, the best choice will always be to get physical. This will change their perspective as they’ll immediately feel healthier. It’s also good to call their loved ones, for their communication skills will always come to their rescue. Breathwork is another tool they can always use because the Sign Wind is associated with respiratory functions. It’s good for them to avoid smoking and polluted air as much as possible.
Winds need to be careful with vanity because they think that the powerful energy they have is merely their making and not the Spirit working through them. They also shouldn’t use words as weapons of destruction as they’re here to bring good ideas and messages. They better walk their path of purity remembering that everyone is responsible for their roles in life. Their ability to drift like the wind and extreme changeability, shouldn’t become an excuse to be always fearful of commitments and promises. They also might be too detached to have a healthy home life, but having a place of their own will make them feel secure as they go on being on the move. Their aesthetic orientations shouldn’t make them too obsessed with looks to the point of skipping what is important and valuable. Sometimes they might appear too childish and irresponsible to others, and they need to be careful to not become untrustworthy.
Whatever they choose as a profession, it must provide them with enough space to express themselves freely and exchange ideas. They need sociability, mobility, and some form of progress ever-present in their work life. They also need a partner and home life suited to all these. They can easily feel caged if they do the same things over and over and in the same environments. If possible, having an open-air office will work great for them too. They especially enjoy air travel and great heights, as they feel a close affinity with the air element and might choose to become a pilot or flight attendant.
Examples of Wind:
Chris Martin, John Cusack, Michael Jackson, Penelope Cruz, Natalie Portman, Romy Schneider, Marion Cotillard, James McAvoy, and Charles Pierre Baudelaire.
Interestingly, these are all Wind people with the Tone 4. Somehow, compared to other Wind Sign combinations, this one tends to be much more artistically inclined. However, this shouldn’t stop other Wind Sign combinations from venturing into arts or other related fields.
